Our Tutors
Meet Lauren
Lauren has been tutoring since 2012. After graduating with a BS in Applied Mathematics in 2015, she entered the corporate world but never felt truly satisfied, returning often to independent tutoring as a source of personal fulfillment and a way to give back to the community. She saw firsthand how far behind children were falling in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, so in 2021 she decided to commit herself full-time to helping them bridge the learning gap - and thus, Uplink Tutors was born.
Her style is laid back and friendly, while maintaining steady focus and always encouraging questions and self-assessment. She believes that a good student/tutor relationship is founded on mutual respect and the ability to work with each child’s unique thought processes. Her favorite part of tutoring is seeing the “ah-hah!” moment wash over a student’s face when the missing piece suddenly clicks into place.
