Our Story

It is well known by now that the COVID pandemic has wreaked havoc on the world's education systems. Countless students have been put at a significant disadvantage due to the inability to attend school in a way that is consistent and individually engaging. Teachers and administrations have done their best to cope with these unforeseen circumstances, but it is an understatement to say that our children need extra help now more than ever. That is why we founded Uplink Tutors in 2021.

Based in Houston, Texas, we are a group of experienced, college-degreed tutors and teachers who believe that every student deserves their fair shot at academic success. At Uplink, we aim to meet every student where they're at in their personal learning journey, and guide them to a place of real comprehension using adaptable 1-1 instruction tailored to fit their unique needs and learning style.

 

When we first meet our students, we work together with them to assess their strengths and weaknesses. Then we create a custom plan designed to meet their most immediate needs, fill in specific knowledge gaps, and drive focus on areas in which they have the most room to improve. If a student needs help in multiple subjects, we can schedule you with multiple tutors who are each specialized in their respective fields. Every session is flexible and designed to help each student not only complete their course work, but also to guide them into a sense of real understanding and confidence in their own abilities.
